Season
After having added a competition, you can now put in seasons. Make sure the venues are in before you start adding a season. There are two ways to create a new season. You can add a season via the "add a season" button or you can clone a season.
Add a Season button
These are the steps you follow to add a season after you've clicked on that button:
Name
The name is always a year in which this season has been played. It can have additional information if required but always start with the year.
Edition
We number the editions. You can also do this in the season list for all seasons at once. Don't forget to up the number when you clone a season.
Location
Select a venue from the dropdown. Don't select a location if you have selected 'competition' as the Schema
Schema
You have three choices here:
- Knock-out for all the tournaments played in a knock-out bracket including tournaments that feature round-robin group matches
- Competition is only selected for the Premier League at the moment
- Competition Davis Cup format is for tournaments that have multiple matches within one match such as the PDC World Cup
Play with couples
Only select when events are played in pairs or in teams of more than one player.
Provide position
Select when you don't have results from all the matches and you need to select where player(s) have finished in a competition. Don't select if you don't have scores but do know who won/lost matches
Competition Points
Only needed when you have selected 'Competition" in the Schema dropdown (Schema is the name of the dropdown menus
Sponsor
Type in the name of the headline sponsor. This will also go out via API and will be added to season name there.
Start and finish
Give the start date of this season including the time in (GMT +1). If the times are not known leave this blank. Same goes for the Finish date and time of the season.
On Television
Select when televised (only majors, world tour and other TV tournaments)
Streamed
Select when only streamed for the internet and not TV
Total number of players
Specifically, for the WDF tournaments as number of participants defines how many players receive points.
Gender
Select Man, Women, Mixed (Men and Women together) or Youth
Status
Status is used to define what goes out to who via API, we have 9 statusses
- 1- Unknown (tournament status not announced, no date set yet)
- 2- Prepared (tournament status announced)
- 3- Active (All info on tournament is announced, waiting to be played) With this status it appears on various calendars.
- 4- Finished (Tournament finished and entered)
- 5- Checked (Checked by WDF)
- 6- Complete (Checked by iDarts for inconsistencies)
- 7- Locked (Checked by all)
- 8- Postpone (Tournament is postponed after announcement)
- 9- Cancel (Tournament is cancelled after announcement)
Prize money indication
Prize money indication is the total prize fund for this season excluding 9 dart finishes.
Prize currency is the currency in which the prize fund is awarded. The currency list used can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217
Additional information
Only used when tournament has high detail (Majors, TV, World Tour and EuroTor). Before the tournament this gives a short statement on when the tournament is played, where it is played and who is the defending champion and any other relevant information to that season. Once the season is finished this is replaced with a short story on the event.
Notes
Any notes can be added here, this information will not be sent out via API
Rankings
Here you add the ranking or rankings where this season counts towards.
Labels
Additional tool to separate seasons. Used for the grading of WDF tournaments (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze)
Click save to save the competition.
Adding logos and images
After saving you can put in some images by clicking on the edit button in the season and changing the relevant image by clicking on 'change'
- Season logo (768x432 pxl)
- Header (after the season has been played 750x208 pxl)
- Winner with trophy (after the season has been played 768x432 pxl).
Adding callers
After saving you can put in the referees and MCs for this season by clicking on the button. Scroll down to the bottom and click on 'callers'.

Clone a season
When one season is in, the next season can be 'cloned' from a previous season. You can clone a season by clicking on the and the 'clone' button. After cloning a season you can also move that season to another competition.
Make sure you have a season ready as you want it, before you clone! Check edit rounds and edit prizes before you clone.
The clone feature will copy:
- Name (you need to adjust)
- Edition (you need to plus one if it is in the same Competition)
- Location
- Schema
- Gender
- Prize money indication
- Prize currency
- Rankings
It also copies round format, prizes and all images with descriptions.
It will not clone:
- Start and Finish date
- Status (default set to Unknown)
- Additional information
- Labels
Move a season
You can move a season from one competition to another. This can be helpful when you have cloned a season and later move it. It gives you a ready to use season.
Seasons
Brings you back to the season list of that competition.
Matches
Brings you to the matches of that season.
Tabs on bottom of season page
Description
Shows the season description as posted in the season under Additional Information
Callers
You can add the callers one at a time. Only players who are in iDarts as referee appear in this list.
Prize money calculation
You can add the callers one at a time. Only players who are in iDarts as referee appear in this list.
