The application supports 2 factor authentication (2FA) and external service to login. The 2FA system will make it harder for unauthorized people to use our website, and keep our data (and yours) secure for everyone.

This feature has first to be configured. The page for this can be accessed via the button 'Manage account settings'. In this page the external login possibilities and two factor authentication can be setup.

The coupling to external authentication services can be used to login into iDarts via popular social media websites.

The 2FA helps securing the website. Currently the application supports email and the google authenticator. The Google authenticator is the most convenient way to use the 2FA system. If you already have this app on your phone, great! if not, you can download it on the app store on your phone. Just search "Google Authenticator and it should show up. It's a free application, and it looks like this:

To add iDarts to your Google Authenticator, click the + in the bottom right corner of your app, and the "Scan QR code". this will open up your phone camera. Now, of course, you need a QR code to scan. Still on the iDarts account management, please click the option to enable the Two Factor, and then press the button to Enable the Google Authenticator. Doing this will bring a QR code up on the screen for you to scan. It looks like this:

You can follow the on screen instructions to now be able to use the 2 factor authorization. This means that everytime you log in, you will be prompted to input the 6 digit code from your google authenticator app into the website before being able to log in. This code changes every 30 seconds, making this a very safe way for everyone to log in.
